On Thursday, June 18 (2 to 3 p.m.), Sepsis Alliance, a partner on HCA’s Stop Sepsis at Home NY initiative, is hosting a webinar on Sepsis in Older Adults: Are We Up for the Challenge?
This webinar is being offered free of charge and will be taught by speakers with extensive experience and knowledge in the area of sepsis. Registration is here.
While people of all ages develop sepsis, older adults are disproportionally affected. Basic sepsis pathophysiology will be reviewed along with differentiation of sepsis and SIRS. Challenges of sepsis recognition and treatment considerations will be presented.
Speakers include June M. McKoy, MD, MPH, JD, MBA, Associate Professor of Medicine, and Theresa A. Rowe, DO, MS, Assistant Professor of Medicine, both of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
